Southwestern Energy is hiring a Measurement Technician in Tunkhannock, Pennslyvania.  

As a Measurement Technician, you will work with Operations, Production, Facilities, Measurement, and SCADA groups to prioritize workload and be a HSE Champion.  You will report directly to the Measurement Foreman.  

 

To be sucessful in this role you will:

  • Coordinate and complete the installation and/or inspection of gas sales/allocation meters and the calibration of those meters within the division
  • Work closely with measurement/field personnel to communicate the status of operations within the assigned areas
  • Conduct analytical sampling, measurement and telemetry equipment
  • Monthly gathering system balancing review and any variance troubleshooting of the assigned field location
  • Assist with Installation of equipment at new facilities as needed
  • Troubleshoot electronic problems and assisting production personnel to maintain facility operation 
  • Operate various types of gas testing equipment

 

 Your Background Includes:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Technical/Trade degree is preferred 
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • Minimum of One (1) year of experience in the following fields: mechanical related; Technical related; gas measurement or field operations 
  • Experience with general instrumentation; however, basic knowledge of SCADA systems is preferred
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft (Excel, Word & Outlook) 
  • Familiar with Emerson ROC, & Flow Automation, chromatography, and components of natural gas 
  • Able to perform all job duties under minimal supervision
  • Ability to work flexible work schedule, including long and/or irregular hours, weekends and holidays
  • Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions: (hot, cold, dust, dirt, noise, etc.)
  • Working out-of-doors, where exposure to atmospheric conditions of extreme heat or cold, fumes, and gases are frequent.  Exposure to noise, vibration, high pressure, moving/mechanical parts, electrical shock, chemical and caustic materials is common in the normal performance of the duties associated with this position
  • The ability to push, lift, pull or carry equipment of up to 100 lbs
  • Physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations
  • To be on call 24 hours a day when needed
  • You will be required to pass all pre-employment requirements including a physical demands, vision, and drug-screening test along with a thorough background and driving record check
